Apple co-founder Steve Jobs put end to weeks of speculation by revealing the new iPad at an event in San Francisco. The device has a 9.7 multi touch display that you can use to play games, watch movies and complete routine office tasks.
Many technology insiders have commented saying the new device is an iphone on steroids and doesn't actually bring anything new to the market. While others are more optimistic and say this will open up a whole new platform (tablet PC's) for developers to create more innovative and stunning applications.
One change that we have seen with the introduction of the iPad is the revolutionary new ibook store that allows you to download books directly to your iPad, maybe the books industry will have new life breathed into it by Apple's new iPad.
